Editor-in-Chief (EIC) Search

 

The EMBS is undertaking a search for an Editor-in-Chief for its journal that publishes papers dealing with neural systems, neural engineering, rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology.

The Editor position is for a three-year term and is renewable for an additional three years. The term of appointment would start January 2024. At the time of appointment, the successful applicant must become a member of IEEE-EMBS.

The Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) at Baylor College of Medicine with consortium partners Massachusetts Institute of Technology and California Institute of Technology announced today it is seeking proposals for developing a health and research data management platform for humans journeying into space.

Cardiovascular Health Tech Virtual Conference 2023

 

Recent advances in wearables, “nearables”, and machine learning have created opportunities for unprecedented monitoring of cardiovascular disease. Such monitoring holds promise for mitigating the burden of the number one killer worldwide. Significant progress has been made to date, and the burgeoning “cardiovascular health tech” field has generated broad excitement including from the patient end-users. This online conference follows the popular Cardiovascular Health Tech Conference 2022 and will comprise sessions on (1) cuffless blood pressure measurement; (2) congestive heart failure monitoring; and (3) the future of cardiovascular health tech. The session chairs and speakers are top academic researchers in the field, founders of new companies, directors in government agencies, and clinical opinion leaders. Each session will include Q&A from the live audience and discussion amongst the participants. By bringing together leading experts, the conference may help accelerate further progress in the field.

Call for Special Session & Workshop Proposals
IEEE 2023 International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI 2023)

 

Special sessions will feature invited talks from top researchers in multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary areas of health informatics, life sciences, health care, clinical applications, behavioral informatics, health data analytics, and health informatics education.

There will be two categories of workshops: regular workshops and tutorial workshops.

Workshops will cover current and future trends in multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary areas of BHI, including emerging trends in enabling technologies, predictive models, databases, big data analytics, and interpretation of vast volumes of multi-modal biomedical data and related data.

Tutorials will provide reviews of specific areas related to health informatics, behavioral informatics, health data analytics, and education, including current research directions, challenges, and state-of-the-art practices. They may also involve hands-on experiences or demonstrations. Tutorials can be organized by a company, a group of companies, or a group of leading researchers featuring presentations/papers/panels.

The IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Body Sensor Networks – Sensor and Systems for Digital Health (BSN 2023) is currently accepting submissions. The conference addresses digital health research and offer participants a unique forum to discuss the key issues and innovative solutions for sensor and systems development, data analytics and modeling, data management and interpretation and communications.

IEEE EMBS – NUS iHealth Tech Forum Call for Posters is Open!

 

The forum is open for poster presentations. Each poster presentation must submit a 2-page abstract which will be reviewed by the organizing committee. Accepted abstracts will be invited to present a poster and the 2-page abstract will be made available to conference attendees, though it will not be considered a peer-reviewed archived publication. Previous work presented at other venues, and which address the forums focus areas and themes, are welcome. Poster submission should use the following abstract template.
