Reviewing your IAS Membership
|
Thank you for being an IAS Member!
The IAS Board would like for you to take the time to review your IEEE Membership record:
1. The IAS is working on a number of marketing initiatives (including creating new technical communities) - please remember to update your employer type and your employer's primary business.
2. IAS is a sponsor of the following IEEE Councils (IEEE Sensors Council, IEEE Systems Council, IEEE Transportation Electrification Council), therefore membership is free BUT you need to select these Council(s) in your membership record.
2. As an IAS member, you can review, revise, and correct the personal data that you have provided to IEEE via IEEE Account/MyProfile - use the unsubscribe method provided in our various communications
If you have any questions please email [email protected].

Call For Proposal for IAS Web Tutorials
|
The IAS Education Department has established a web-based tutorial program that is appealing to a broad attendance. The tutorial program is intended to provide all attendees with an opportunity to enhance the education of the professional working in the field of industry applications of electrical engineering. Both experienced and new to the profession engineers can benefit from the tutorials, either by updating or renewing their knowledge base or by accelerating their learning process on new topics. The tutorials should provide value to practicing engineers combining the theory with applications and practical solutions. The topics can range from broad to narrow in scope, and can vary from introductory, intermediate or advanced in technical level. The tutorials are online and live and are usually of 3 hours duration. Each module of the tutorial must have an interactive Q&A segment for self-evaluation of his/her learning by the attendee.
The tutorials will be available at the IAS Resource Center (http://resourcecenter.ias.ieee.org/). Compensation for tutorial speakers includes an honorarium of US$1500. In the case of multiple speakers for one tutorial, the honorarium may be shared among the speakers.
Tutorial proposals should be submitted as a digest containing the title, abstract (no more than 500 words), outline, contact information and short bio of speaker(s) and other relevant information requested in the Tutorial Information Form, which can be downloaded here.
The speaker bio should describe the qualifications for presenting the proposed tutorial including the work and publications that are most relevant to the proposal. All tutorial proposals will be peer reviewed by at least two experts in the matter. Review results will be shared with the speaker to allow for further improvement of the tutorial.
The Tutorial Information Form should be sent to the IAS Tutorial Committee Chair Professor Akshay Kumar Rathore at [email protected] . It is recommended to include an initial and preliminary draft of the presentation slides.
