Set a Course for Adventure:
IEEE-USA Alaska Cruise

IEEE-USA's 7-night Alaska Cruise, 9-16 September 2024, promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! We'll be cruising in style aboard Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas from Seattle to stops in Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria, BC, before concluding our cruise back in Seattle. Visit cruise.ieeeusa.org for more details. Register by 8 March for CVD 2024

Students and YPs are invited to participate in IEEE-USA’s Congressional Visits Day (CVD), which will take place 10-11 April in Washington, D.C. CVD brings STEM professionals and students to Washington to raise visibility of and support for engineering and technology policy solutions. This premiere in-person event is open to all IEEE Members in the United States. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodations. IEEE-USA @ Big Hoopla

For a third consecutive year, with volunteer support from the IEEE Dayton Section, IEEE-USA is sponsoring The Big Hoopla, a set of events opening the “First Four” as part of the NCAA’s Men’s Basketball Tournament in March in Dayton, Ohio. We are still seeking a few more local volunteers to assist us at The Big Hoopla STEM Challenge on Sunday, 17 March, 12-6pm, at the Dayton Convention Center. A limited number of tickets for the First Four games are available to volunteers. 

New E-Book: Famous Women Engineers in History – Book 4: Kate Gleason

Book 4 in the Famous Women Engineers in History series explores the life and career of Kate Gleason, who, despite not having a formal engineering education, established herself as critical to her family’s tool business at a young age; helped give the business international exposure, presence and placement (the business is still a leader in its field); and developed a new way of making affordable homes. This e-book is FREE to IEEE Members.

IEEE New Initiatives Program
is looking for Bright Ideas!

The IEEE New Initiatives program helps bring great ideas to light. If you have an idea for a particular program, product, or service offering that can make a significant impact on IEEE members, the public, or a technical community, please share your vision with the IEEE New Initiatives Committee (NIC). The New Initiatives program can provide seed funding or higher levels of funding for innovative ideas. There are no submission deadlines.
