The IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Fellow Search Committee (FSC) plays a key role in searching the potential new IEEE Fellow nominations from within the IES community. Its mission is to promote, encourage, and advise qualified IES members who aspire to become IEEE Fellows in the future.

Samir Kouro, Editor-in-Chief of Industrial Electronics Magazine, and co-authors Sebastian Rivera, Stefan M. Goetz, Peter W. Lehn, Meha Pathmanathan, Pavol Bauer, and Rosa Anna Mastromauro received the Proceedings of the IEEE Best Paper Award of 2025. Congratulations!

Held on 14 October 2025 at the IECON conference in Madrid, the workshop “From Idea to Venture” equipped scientists, engineers, and industry professionals with practical tools and new venture creation insights to transform innovation into real-world impact. 

Paper submission system is now open! IECON 2026 will be held 18-21 October 2026 in Doha, Qatar. IECON is the flagship yearly IES conference in the fields of power electronics, power systems, controls, manufacturing, to computational intelligence and communications. 

This paper's primary contribution lies in the extraction of a novel health indicator for identifying bearing and gear faults of rotating machines such as gear motors.
