IECON 2025 will be held 14-17 October 2025 in Madrid, Spain. IECON is the flagship yearly IES conference in the fields of Robotics and Mechatronics, Power Electronics, Cybersecurity, Renewable Energy, Smart Grid, Digital Twins, AI for Industrial Processes, and Industry 5.0.

In this paper, the research is targeted for a high-power multiphase permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSMs) with the application background of ship propulsion, and the specific study is carried out using a downscale 9-kW nine-phase open-end winding OW-PMSM experimental prototype.

This paper presents a comprehensive comparative study of four control strategies for Grid-forming inverters (GFMIs) using both frequency-domain and time-domain analyses. This work contributes to the ongoing efforts to enhance the stability and reliability of power systems with high penetration of renewable energy sources.
