The IEEE Industrial Electronics Society will celebrate the first edition of IES Day on 14 November 2024. Additional events will also be scheduled in a wide period, from 11 November to 6 December 2024. Join us and contribute to the very first IES Day celebration!

The inaugural IEEE IES Students and Young Professionals Congress was held on 24-27 July 2024 in Hyderabad, India. The vibrant event attracted 81 participants from 20 different IEEE Sections, representing more than 38 IES Student Branch Chapters and IES Section Chapters.

Under supervision of IES Egypt Chapter, four students from IEEE IES Heliopolis University student branch developed an industrial prototype to produce and store green hydrogen. With 60 liters of green hydrogen produced hourly and efficiency of 64%, the startup may put Egypt as a big player of hydrogen energy worldwide!

The 18th CPE-POWERENG was held on 24-26 June 2024 at the Gdynia Maritime University (Poland), which is the largest maritime university in the European Union. This flagship IES conference was actively attended by 101 people from 23 countries. 

This paper reviews current research on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) security, addressing the limitations of prior studies that often overlooked specific PLC vulnerabilities and focused mainly on system-level threats.
