An Improved Open-Phase Fault-Tolerant DTC Technique for Five-Phase Induction Motor Drive Based on Virtual Vectors Assessment

[ Image ] [[https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9089215]]

In this awarded paper, an improved fault-tolerant direct torque control (DTC) technique is proposed for the five-phase induction motor drive based on virtual vector (VV)s assessment under the open-phase fault condition. The impact of VVs on the change in torque as well as flux response at different speeds and loading conditions is investigated.

Software-Defined Power Electronics

Tuesday 28 March 2023 at 9:00 AM EST (3:00 PM CET)

by Matthias Preindl (Columbia University, USA)

Software-defined power electronics leverage a hierarchical real-time control framework to form modular, reconfigurable, and partially redundant power converters. This talk focuses on the implementation of the physical layer with optimized Lego-like power electronic converters called autoconverter modules (ACM) and discusses the interconnection and application layers on two example implementations: an EV traction inverter and EV charging equipment.
