MEET OUR TECHNICAL COMMITTEES

The IEEE-IES Technical Committee on Factory Automation (TCFA) promotes synergic interactions between experts from industry and academia to foster the development and adoption of scientific methods, models, and tools for the efficient design and operation of industrial and factory automation systems.

The TCFA architecture consists of different layers, corresponding to its SCs: the basic layers are Industrial Communication, Real-time Systems, Control, Security and Dependability; the cross-layer topics, such as Wireless Sensor Networks and Cyber-physical Systems, link them to the application areas, including Robots, Vehicles and HMI capabilities.
