The ISIE 2022 Organizing Committee invites you to participate in this hybrid event offering a large variety of sessions, presenting cutting-edge research in industrial electronics and its applications, high-quality keynotes and tutorials, and special sessions reflecting the state-of-the-art in different industrial electronics applications, including special technologies for remote sites and extreme weather conditions. We are also proud to feature a Student Research Competition, which is a first for ISIE.

Due to the resurgence of COVID-19, the 2021 IEEE Energy Conversion Conference and Expo will go fully virtual. The 2021 ECCE conference will be live on 10-14 October 2021, offering many live events such as the plenary session, interactive sessions with the tutorial instructors, industry-oriented special sessions, expo-dedicated live hours and a new technical program format. ECCE 2021 registration is open for your virtual conference participation with 890+ technical presentations, 18 industrial and academic tutorials, and 20+ special sessions from industry experts!

MEET OUR TECHNICAL COMMITTEES

Industrial devices and equipment are getting increasingly smart and robust, thanks to the ever-growing functionality and complexity of microdevices such as sensors and actuators. At IEEE IES Technical Committee on MEMS and Nanotechnologies, we bring together people with different background and expertise to promote the technological development of the microdevices, such as sensors, actuators, energy harvesters, as well as their interface circuits. We warmly welcome people with similar interests and enthusiasm to join us.

IES Technical Committee of Network-Based Control Systems and Applications (IES TC-NBCSA) is an active Technical Committee within IES that aims to promote deep collaborations and communications among academic and industrial researchers in the fields of NBCSA, in order for the accommodation of ever-increasing demands for real-time, reliable and low-cost network-based control systems. Main areas targeted by IES TC-NBCSA include, but are not limited to, modeling and control, stability analysis, security, scheduling, protocol design, energy management for network-based control systems.

FEATURED TECHNICAL ARTICLE

Currently, the necessity of efficient and reliable power systems is increasing because of the strict requirements that standards and regulations impose, but still costs have to remain low. In this work, a new paradigm is proposed: the power routing for the maintenance scheduling. Power routing is the control technique for which each module building up a modular power converter processes a different amount of power or faces a different voltage/current stress combination.

This paper catalogs almost all developments in event-triggered SMC, from its initial proposal to various applications till the appearance of this paper. We give an overview of the design of classical SMC for both linear and nonlinear systems in the event-triggering framework. The different event-triggering conditions are covered with emphasis on their respective advantages.
