The IEEE Industrial Electronics Society is continuously looking for new ways to serve our membership. To that end, IES will publish two new journals and an electronic, members-only newsletter beginning in 2020. After several months of tireless work from our society’s volunteers, we proudly announce today the first issue of this bi-monthly eNewsletter. The intent of the publication is to promote IES activities and keep our valuable members informed of the most recent news and events in our society. This new initiative is also a part of our newly reformed IES online publication, “IE Technology News” (ITeN, https://iten.ieee-ies.org/). In this issue, you’ll find information about the IES 2019 Best Paper Award winners, our new journal’s call for papers, upcoming conferences, featured articles, and other relevant news for our members.

Happy reading!
Prof. Terry Martin
President, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society
