Tahir Ghani is an Intel Fellow and Director, Transistor Technology and Integration at Intel Corporation. Since joining Intel in 1994, Tahir has played a key role in developing high performance transistor technology for various logic technology nodes.

Mini-Colloquium on “Memristive Devices” and Symposium on Schottky Barrier MOS 2022


The event will be held in hybrid format, onsite and via Zoom, with the R&D event beginning on 7 September 2022 with a mini-colloquium on “Memristive Devices,” and the Symposium on SB-MOS scheduled for 8 September.

Participants of the IEEE Region 9 EDS Summer School, held 1-3 July at INAOE in Cholula, Mexico, with 115 in-person participants and 120 virtual attendees, representing most countries in Latin America, plus 18 from Ghana and one from India.

The event was held prior to the 2022 IEEE Latin American Electron Devices Conference (LAEDC), with 35 students from the summer school receiving support to attend the conference, held 4-6 July in Puebla, Mexico.

IEEE Elections and Division I Candidates

The Division I Delegate/Director is your voice on the IEEE Board of Directors, so please cast your vote for this and other positions before the deadline. Division I candidates are former EDS President Samar K. Saha and former CASS President Yong Lian.

Call for Papers - IEEE JxCDC Special Topic on Spintronic Devices for Energy Efficient Computing

Prospective authors are invited to submit works on various aspects of spintronic devices. The target date to publish this special issue is December 2022. Topics of Interest include but are not limited to:

1. Spintronic physics and theory for energy-efficient operation
2. Design, synthesis, and characterization of spintronic materials for energy-efficient operation
3. Design, modeling, fabrication and testing of energy-efficient spintronic devices
4. Design, benchmarking, building-up and testing of energy-efficient spintronic circuits
5. Design, benchmarking, integration and testing of energy-efficient spintronic systems
6. Architecture-level design for energy-efficient spintronic devices and systems
7. New applications of energy-efficient spintronic devices and systems
8. Algorithms and hardware co-design for energy-efficient spintronic systems
