LAEDC Scholarships - Global Outreach Project

30 international EDS students, including 20 undergraduate students from Central America, and graduate students from South America, Europe and North America attended the 2020 Latin American Electron Devices Society (LAEDC) in San Jose, Costa Rica from 25-28 February 2020. Students attended an EDS Mini Colloquiium, poster presentation session, IEEE Electron Devices Society-Engineer Teacher Connection training workshop at a local university, and the full program of the event, including social activities. The participation from students from Central America created motivation among them, membership growth and the creation of new Chapters.

EDS Membership News

IEEE Member-Get-A-Member (MGM) Referral Program

The IEEE MGM program is your opportunity to support and share the value of IEEE membership, and earn awards.

As an added incentive, EDS is offering free society membership to your colleagues and friends whom you refer, if they have not been a member of EDS in the past, or are new to IEEE.

IEEE members may add Electron Devices Society to their account and, at Checkout, add promotion code EDSEVENT21.

EDS Board of Governors June Meeting

The World Health Organization declared the novel coronavirus COVID-19 a pandemic. Governments around the world have issued restrictions on travel, gatherings, and meetings in an effort to limit and slow the spread of the virus. The health and safety of the EDS community is our first priority and we are supporting these efforts.

EDS will post meeting details for the June Governance Meeting as they become available. Please visit our webpage for further details as they become available.
