IEEE AP-S is now accepting applications for the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of its flagship publication, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine. This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape the magazine’s editorial direction, engage with the global AP-S community, and advance the field through high-impact content.

Introducing IEEE AP-S John Volakis Travel Grant for Graduate Students

This grant honors Prof. John Yiannis Volakis for his distinguished contributions to the fields of antennas and propagation, as well as his exemplary mentorship. It will provide ongoing support to graduate students each year, allowing them to attend IEEE AP-S conferences and symposia.

Introducing IEEE AP-S Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Paper Award

This award will recognize the best paper published in IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL) by an IEEE AP-S Young Professional in the preceding calendar year.

Call for IEEE AP-S 2025 Educational Initiative Proposals

AP-S is now accepting proposals for its Educational Initiatives Program, which supports innovative projects that advance AP-S educational goals at all levels. Proposals may include curriculum development, outreach activities, workshops, and other impactful educational efforts. Funding is available for selected initiatives that demonstrate strong potential to benefit the AP-S community.

Honoring the Future of AP-S

Dr. Lei Guo has been awarded the 2024 IEEE AP-S Young Professional of the Year

Dr. Lei Guo is an Associate Professor at Dalian University of Technology, China, specializing in wireless energy harvesting, millimeter-wave antennas, and sensing technologies. She has published over 60 papers, holds 12 patents, and actively serves the IEEE AP-S community as an Associate Editor for both TAP and OJAP. In 2024, she was named Outstanding Associate Editor for OJAP and selected as an IEEE AP-S Young Professional Ambassador. Dr. Guo is also a strong advocate for women in engineering, organizing dedicated sessions and outreach initiatives within AP-S.
