Dr. Erika Ross Ellison was appointed society's president-elect for the 2025 term. In addition, Drs. Beena Ahmed and Natalie Mrachacz-Kersting were elected vice president of Conferences and vice president of Member and Student Activities, respectively. Their two-year terms will also commence in 2025, when Paul Sajda, Ph.D. president of IEEE EMBS, will serve as past president, and Metin Akay, current past president, will serve as an ambassador.

IEEE Pulse names Mike Hess as its next editor-in-chief in fulfillment of a mission to increase public awareness about healthcare innovations and entrepreneurship. Mr. Hess is an adjunct professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. The corresponding author must be a Young Professional (they must have reached their first post-secondary degree (e.g., bachelor’s level or an associate’s degree within the past 15 years and are not currently a student or a graduate student.

Only full paper (4+ pages) submissions at EMBC 2024 are eligible.
