This year’s honorees are recognized for their exceptional leadership and dedication to the Society. Their contributions have strengthened AP-S through advancements in publications, member engagement, student support, and global outreach.

A postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino, Dr. Petek has made significant contributions to computational electromagnetics, numerical methods, and periodic structures. The award recognizes his research achievements and supports his participation in AP-S/URSI 2026.

This grant supports graduate students attending the 2026 IEEE AP-S/URSI Conference. This year’s recipients were recognized for outstanding research contributions across areas including Bayesian antenna optimization, wearable antennas, CubeSat technologies, reconfigurable metasurfaces, radar cross section evaluation, and next-generation sensing and communication systems.

This award supports industry-affiliated young professionals attending AP-S/URSI 2026 and promotes collaboration between academia and industry. Recipients represent a diverse range of expertise across wireless communications, radar systems, AI-driven engineering, and RF technologies.

These outstanding graduate researchers will receive support to attend the 2026 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas & Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting in Detroit. The grant recognizes excellence in antennas and propagation research while encouraging engagement within the global AP-S community.

Congratulations to Mustafa Ayebe of Chalmers University of Technology, recipient of the 2026 IEEE AP-S Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Paper Award. The award recognizes the best paper published in IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters by an IEEE AP-S Young Professional during the previous calendar year. The award will be presented at the 2026 IEEE AP-S Symposium Awards Ceremony.

Join us as we officially kick off the 2026 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas & Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting. The Opening Ceremony will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 8:30–9:30 AM in Huntington Room 330A/B, followed by the Distinguished Industry Speaker Plenary Sessions.

This special session will explore innovative approaches to low-profile, miniaturized antennas for mobile and robotic platforms, including phased arrays, polarization agility, and millimeter-wave technologies.

Register for the 2nd Future G Summit when signing up for the 2026 IEEE AP-S/URSI Symposium. Held on 15 July, the summit will feature invited talks and panel discussions on next-generation wireless technologies, including AI for engineering, automotive and self-driving systems, and dual-use applications.

Students and young professionals will have the opportunity to connect with leaders from academia, industry, and government through small-group discussions focused on mentorship, career growth, and professional development.

Join us in August for the next IEEE AP-S Distinguished Lecturer Webinar featuring Professor Qammer Abbasi. His presentation, “Integrated Sensing, Communication and Computing for Cognitive Cities,” will explore emerging technologies shaping the future of intelligent wireless networks and connected cities.

AP-S Distinguished Lecturers for 2027 –2029 is now open. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. In addition to the conventional Distinguished Lecturer positions, one DL position will be awarded to a person who has demonstrated successful entrepreneurship or exceptional contributions towards commercialization in an antenna or propagation related field and has given related presentations to engage with others.

IEEE Senior Member is the highest grade of membership available through application, recognizing professional maturity and significant contributions to the field. Eligible candidates typically have at least 10 years of professional experience with demonstrated impact over at least five years.
