Congratulations to our 2026 IEEE AP-S Student Design Contest Semifinalists!

 

The 17th IEEE AP-S Student Design Contest challenges students to design a compact, multi-functional antenna system for automotive applications and propose a demonstration setup. 

 

Top teams will present their systems at the 2026 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (12–17 July 2026, Detroit, MI, USA), where winners will be announced at the IEEE AP-S Awards Presentation.

The Distinguished Service Award honors a career-level volunteer who has demonstrated sustained, impactful service and leadership within the Society, while the Service Award recognizes exceptional contributions to a specific initiative, program, or set of activities that advance the Society’s mission.

ICEAA–IEEE APWC 2026 Conference Call-for-Papers

 

The International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA) and the IEEE AP-S Topical Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Wireless Communications (APWC) invite researchers to submit papers across 85+ technical topics. The joint conference will be held in Toyama, Japan, from 14–18 September 2026, uniting experts from academia, industry, and government to present the latest advances in research and applications.

Call for Nominations  – IEEE AP-S Distinguished Lecturers

AP-S Distinguished Lecturers for 2027 –2029 is now open. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. In addition to the conventional Distinguished Lecturer positions, one DL position will be awarded to a person who has demonstrated successful entrepreneurship or exceptional contributions towards commercialization in an antenna or propagation related field and has given related presentations to engage with others.

AP-S COPE and SIGHT Committees are partnering with EPICS in IEEE to support AP-S Community Engineering Projects. The EPICS in IEEE service-learning projects offer students the opportunity to work with IEEE members and community organizations to address local technological needs. Through their service-learning projects, students will also develop critical knowledge and skills to succeed in future engineering careers.
