To mark the 75th anniversary of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation has curated a Special Section of invited articles showcasing key innovations and emerging directions—from fundamental electromagnetics to advanced technologies such as metamaterials, metasurfaces, novel array design, additive manufacturing, and next-generation wireless systems—highlighting the field’s broad impact across diverse domains.

We invite you to explore the first eight articles of this exclusive collection. Articles in this celebratory Special Section are offered as open access for a limited time following their appearance in IEEE Xplore Early Access.

Supports MS and PhD students in electrical engineering or related fields who are first authors of an accepted AP-S Symposium paper and endorsed by a faculty advisor. Intended to offset travel and participation costs for the IEEE AP-S/URSI Symposium. IEEE AP-S student membership required. Award: US$1,500

Application Deadline Extended: 15 March 2026

Supports MS or PhD students in electrical engineering or related fields who are first authors of an accepted AP-S Symposium paper and endorsed by a faculty advisor. Intended to offset travel costs for attending the IEEE AP-S Symposium (conference registration not included). IEEE AP-S Student membership required. Award: US$1,500

Supports individuals demonstrating high research potential who may not otherwise attend the IEEE AP-S Symposium. Open to all; IEEE membership not required. Applicants must have a paper accepted for presentation and personally present it at the Symposium. Award: US$1,000

Promotes women in AP-S by supporting scientists, students (Master/PhD), and engineers in industry with ≤10 years post-PhD or industry experience. Applicants must be first authors and presenters of accepted Symposium papers. Grants awarded with global representation across continents. Award: US$1,500 + Symposium registration and banquet

During 21–22 February 2026, our Administrative Committee met in Natal, Brazil for its first AdCom meeting of the year, discussing publications, upcoming conferences, grants, and key Society initiatives. The meeting was followed by the Latin American Conference on Antennas and Propagation (LACAP).
