C.J. Reddy Travel Grant for Graduate Students

Supports MS and PhD students in electrical engineering or related fields who are first authors of an accepted AP-S Symposium paper and endorsed by a faculty advisor. Intended to offset travel and participation costs for the IEEE AP-S/URSI Symposium. IEEE AP-S student membership required. Award: US$1,500

 

Application Deadline Extended: 15 March 2026

 

John Volakis Travel Grant for Graduate Students

Supports MS or PhD students in electrical engineering or related fields who are first authors of an accepted AP-S Symposium paper and endorsed by a faculty advisor. Intended to offset travel costs for attending the IEEE AP-S Symposium (conference registration not included). IEEE AP-S Student membership required. Award: US$1,500


Application Deadline Extended: 15 March 2026

 

Raj Mittra Travel Grant

Supports individuals demonstrating high research potential who may not otherwise attend the IEEE AP-S Symposium. Open to all; IEEE membership not required. Applicants must have a paper accepted for presentation and personally present it at the Symposium. Award: US$1,000

 

Application Deadline: 15 March 2026

 

Mojgan Daneshmand Award

Promotes women in AP-S by supporting scientists, students (Master/PhD), and engineers in industry with ≤10 years post-PhD or industry experience. Applicants must be first authors and presenters of accepted Symposium papers. Grants awarded with global representation across continents. Award: US$1,500 + Symposium registration and banquet

PhD Students: Apply for the 2026 IEEE AP-S Doctoral Research Grants

We're now accepting applications to support doctoral students pursuing research careers in electromagnetics. Up to ten US$4,000 grants will fund at least one year of doctoral research under the guidance of an IEEE AP-S faculty advisor. Recipients will also be featured in our IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine.

ICEAA–IEEE APWC 2026 Conference Call-for-Papers

 

The International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA) and the IEEE AP-S Topical Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Wireless Communications (APWC) invite researchers to submit papers across 85+ technical topics. The joint conference will be held in Toyama, Japan, from 14–18 September 2026, uniting experts from academia, industry, and government to present the latest advances in research and applications.

During 21–22 February 2026, our Administrative Committee met in Natal, Brazil for its first AdCom meeting of the year, discussing publications, upcoming conferences, grants, and key Society initiatives. The meeting was followed by the Latin American Conference on Antennas and Propagation (LACAP).
