IEEE Technology Summit 2025: CleanTech Solutions

Societies/ Councils (S/C) are encouraged to participate in the inaugural IEEE Technology Summit, taking place on 2-3 October in Glasgow, Scotland. Chaired by Immediate Past-VP of IEEE Technical Activities, Fred Schindler, this event presents a major opportunity for S/Cs to gain visibility as thought leaders and connect with potential members, particularly among Students, Young Professionals and Industry. 

The theme of the IEEE Technology Summit will change annually and this year will be CleanTech, which aims to identify and support innovative solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Tech Summit features a Grand Challenge pitch competition - individuals and teams with relevant solutions can apply in one of two distinct tracks: the Ideation Track for very early-stage ventures and Start-up Track for investor-ready entities. Those selected to compete in the Grand Challenge’s CleanTech Solutions pitch competition will receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and a global platform to showcase their ideas and potentially win prizes, thanks to the collaborative efforts of IEEE Entrepreneurship, Young Professionals and Student Activities. Benefits to Societies/Councils/Ways to Get Involved

Here are some ways your S/C can get involved in the IEEE Technology Summit:

• Make connections with prospective members including Students, Young Professionals, Industry by having representatives attend the event.
• Promote your S/C by becoming a sponsor or exhibitor. Become an exhibitor or partner of the IEEE Technology Summit. Please reach out to Ryan O'Connor at [email protected] if you have any questions.
• Provide your S/C members the opportunity to apply to become an IEEE Entrepreneurship mentor and work with teams participating in the CleanTech Solutions pitch competition if they have expertise in sustainability, CleanTech, and business development.
